Tarik Frimpong, 24, has been acting, singing and dancing since childhood, when he impressed audiences in Melbourne and Shanghai with his performance as Young Simba in The Lion King musical.

This led to a lead role in Bring It On – The Musical, while he also racked up a host of credits as a backing dancer, appearing on stage with the likes of Justin Bieber and FKA twigs, and in music videos with Australian artists Missy Higgins and The Rubens. Now breaking into film, Frimpong’s latest role has earned him global attention, as he made his feature debut in Mary Poppins Returns, playing Angus opposite A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt and Broadway royalty Lin-Manuel Miranda in the Disney sequel.
